The Really Useful Crew is led by founder Mark Ryan and General Manager Tim Sands.
They represent both Australian & offshore partners in four countries, with a base of over 300 digital staff and a local team of 24 Project Managers, QA people and other digital specialists.

Here’s Mark’s bio:

Mark Ryan has been managing businesses for almost 20 years, with extensive experience in operational growth & re-structure roles at international, Asia-Pacific and Australian businesses. These organisations included private & public IT, online services, advertising agencies and new media companies.

Most recently he has been Chief Operating Officer at Ogilvy & Mather Sydney; prior to that he was the Chief Operating Officer at Euro RSCG Australia. Both roles were newly-created as part of his remit to operationally re-structure the businesses, testimony to his ability to transform and improve their performance.

Prior to that he was the Project Operations Manager for Hyro Limited, the largest online services provider in the Asia Pacific region, where he was responsible for managing Hyro’s ISO9001:2000 certified software development & delivery methodology. Whilst slightly boring this taught him how to get complex stuff done. He has also operationally managed local and international e-commerce businesses, as well as a couple of start-ups.

Originally from Cowra in regional NSW, Mark relaxes by thinking about new economy business models, Game Theory & non-linearity, making things work better, and spending as much time as possible with his young family.
